New State Champion! Your Allen Eagles

It wasn't easy, but the Eagles defeated Ft. Bend Hightower 21-14 to win their first state Championship.  It was another game that kept the fans (and there were a lot of them) on the edge of their seat until the very last play.

They're Off!

The Eagles are one their way to Houston to meet Ft. Bend Hightower in the Texas 5A Division I state Championship game.  The Eagle buses rolled out at 8:45 am.  The street near the facility was lined with fans cheering them on as they headed down the road.  Excitement and emotions were running at a high level.  I saw more than a few tears as the buses rolled down the street.  See you at Reliant.  I hope to post a few pictures after the game, if the Hotel Wi-Fi works tonight.  Good Luck Eagles.

On to The State Finals

In one the the most exciting 4th quarters you will ever see Allen drives about 70 yards in less than two minutes to come from behind and win 23-21.  Tucker Carter hit Dakarai Pecikonis with the winning touchdown pass.

YES THEY CAN! YES THEY DID!

Allen surprised the No.1 team in the state and country, Euless Trinity, 34-21.  The Eagles pretty much dominated the game, but Trinity made it a little interesting at the end with a quick touchdown and then recovered a great onside kick to make us a little nervous there for a while.  The offense, defense and special teams all shined in a great total team effort.  Next up, Round Rock Stony Point in the state semi-finals.
