The Eagles looked to be in control in the first half taking a 14-3 lead into the locker room. They then scored on their first possession of the second half taking a 21-3 lead in the third quarter. But the Permian offense came alive making the score 28-22. They got the ball back with just a few minutes remaining, but the Eagle defense held on a 4th and 5 with a minute and a half to go, the Eagles then ran out the clock for the victory. Up next, the regional championship with the winner of the Trinity/Arlington game on Saturday.

Tucker Carter had a great game in his first varsity start. He was 10 of 16 passing for 199 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers. Tucker replaced injured quarterback Matt Brown.
Bradlee Waddell was the Eagles leading receiver with 6 catches for 114 yards and one touchdown.
